Kin Corner Store (Permanently Closed)

*Kin is now closed permanently*

Kin Corner Store is a welcome addition to the Cheltenham area. A kid-friendly vegan cafe that is perfect for the whole family. By kid friendly we mean, a separate play area with lots of toys and books and a dedicated kids menu with snack packs and milkshakes (the almond kind).

This is the first cafe for Jennifer Sims after making the decision not to go back to being a business analyst after the birth of her children. She wanted to provide a child-friendly environment for parents in the area while delivering delicious food.

Kin Corner store also doubles as a store with a wide variety of items to buy, including some of the more decadent variety in chocolate bars and eggs from Treat Dreams.

The Food

The menu at Kin Corner Store is simple in nature but packs a punch with beautiful flavours complementing each dish. You can see Jennifer’s passion for food shines through in all of the dishes. She creates under the notion that you shouldn’t be worried about what is not in your meal, but rather what is in your meal.

The Falafel dish at Kin is a perfect example of beautiful flavours, with hummus and kasundi that breathe life into each bite. The Potato Rosti also combines the use of a pear, lime and chili chutney that pulls the smashed peas and heirloom tomatoes together to create a dish that you will be coming back for.

Let’s not forget the kids, as they have their own menu, with a snack box filled with falafel, cucumber and carrot sticks, hummus, dinner roll and fruit salad. With milkshakes like a Banoffee Pie filled with banana, almond, vanilla, cinnamon and maple syrup. And the most amazing Oreo Milkshake with Oreos, almond, vanilla, and chocolate.
