Small Print Pizza Bar

Small Print Pizza opened in August 2016 by 3 friends, Adam Chapman, Phil Gijsbers and Neil Mills.

The restaurant is the first for Adam, but not for the others who are behind 8 other venues collectively. Including Saint James (Malvern), Hard Pressed (East Melb), Yorkshire Brewhouse (Collingwood) and Pedro Espresso (St Kilda Road). Adam and Phil worked together at From on High, another of Phil’s venues, with Phil just down the road from Small Print. The two had their eyes on the corner location and wanted to turn it into a pizza place with a veggie feel.

Small Print tries to be eco-friendly and as waste free as possible. They use Green Box pizza boxes which are made from 100% recycled materials. There is greaseproof paper in the bottom of the boxes so they can be recycled. Most drinks are on tap including Riot Wine, who use kegs instead of wine bottle wastage. They also have an industrial composter out the back.

The Food

A lot of the pizza’s on the menu can be made vegan and gluten-free. Popular choices are the Margherita, Mushroom, Eggplant, with the most popular being the Roast Pumpkin with caramelised onions and vegan feta. If you are still hungry after devouring a whole pizza (which you will). Get the warm oreo chocolate brownie.
