Turning Point

Turning Point has opened in Ripponlea following the closure of Hawk & Hunter, a staple in the community.

Launched in early February the new owners of Turning Point wanted to focus on bringing more vegetarian and vegan options onto the menu. They are currently developing some more items on their dinner menu and incorporate vegan options throughout.

The Undercover Roasters, owners of Short Straw in Hawthorn and Collective Espresso in Camberwell purchased the large cafe gave it a face-lift. It is a cafe by day, wine bar by night.

The Food

There are a number of vegan options on the breakfast and lunch menu. Including the Vegan Cocoa pops which is the prettiest version of Cocoa pops you will ever find. Using a vegan chocolate mousse with puffed rice and a chocolate almond milk. Another notable option is the Vegan Euphoria and Onigirazu, a sushi sandwich with avocado, seasoned sushi rice, wakame, red cabbage.
