Earlier this year, popular ice-cream brand Magnum announced that they were launching dairy-free versions of their sweet desserts. The ice cream also happens to be gluten free!
Self-proclaimed “The first indulgent dairy-free impulse product in Australia. A game changer in indulgent ice cream – rich & indulgent, but without the dairy.”
Magnum is working to improve its sustainability, and the new ice cream flavours are part of this. The Magnum Dark Intense ice cream is made with 70 percent cocoa sourced from sustainably grown Rainforest Alliance cocoa beans. The vegan ice creams will also be Rainforest Alliance certified.
The vegan ice-creams will come in 2 flavours, the vegan classic and the vegan almond. Made with pea protein and covered in chocolate, they will be just like the real thing. Currently, in the UK, they are sold in a pack of 3 for £3.89, the same price as the regular Magnum packs.
With no confirmed distributors, the Vegan Magnums will be available from the 28th January 2019 in Australia. What a great start to the year!
