The sun is going to be out for the weekend’s festivities and there is plenty on around Melbourne to sink your vegan teeth into.

Saturday night in Ballarat is definitely the place to be to experience the Ballarat Vegan festival’s first twilight market. With plenty of delicious vegan food on offer, a food demo by the local vegan cafe, Namaste Nourishment, guest speakers including Pam Ahern from Edgars Mission.

There is wine and beer to enjoy from the bar and also the Backspace Gallery will be open for you to view.

Greekish: Vegan Turkish and Greek Cooking Class with Zacchary Bird & Nalin from YAY Foods

Although not technically on the weekend, Monday is still the weekend for some. There are a few more tickets left to this Greek and Turkish cooking class with Zacchary Bird, vegan private cook & recipe writer and Nalin Arileo from YAY! Foods.

At this event you will learn to make Spanakopita (Greek Spinach and Cheese Pie), Cheese Stuffed Borek (Pan Fried Turkish Cigars), Gozleme, Loukoumades (Greek Donuts with Vegan Honey + Nuts) and you get to eat it all as well.

Piccolina Gelateria Goes Vegan for a Week

One of the most iconic gelateria’s in Melbourne is going Vegan for the week. The week commenced from Thursday evening.

On the menu for the week you will have special inclusions of Pistacchio, Peanutbutter with choc cookie crumble, classic Bacio and a Lemon Cheesecake.  Along with the regular vegan options of Dark Chocolate, Strawberry, Passionfruit & Lemon.

Watch out for the vegan milkshakes during the week also.

 

Bottomless Brunch – Good Love

Bottomless Brunch is back this year at Good Love. Running from 11am til 1pm your $30 gets you unlimited tap cocktails. You can pair this up with some brunch options like there famous $5 big slices of pizza and $5 scrambled tofu breakky.

There will be a DJ on hand spinning tunes so you can lounge out in the sun and drink til your heart is content.

Bookings are essential as seatings are limited to the first 70 people only!

Squishies & Sangria at The Ascot Lot

If you need to get of the house with your doggo this weekend, The Ascot Lot is holding an event just for you. They want the squishiest dogs out there to come along for a day in the sun with some Iced Sangria for the humans. Yes, the sangria is 100% vegan.

There’ll be Food Trucks a-plenty, drink specials all day long and live music into the night.  Although not tons of vegan options, you can grab an awesome vegan burger from The Pickle & The Patty and some vegan soft serve from Mr. Whippy.
