Vegan Spanish Tapas for Dinner?

Power Plant Cafe in Templestowe is now open for dinner on Friday and Saturday nights.  It is something that owner Johanna has been exploring for some time, and with the arrival of a Spanish Chef, it was the perfect time to explore a new menu for dinner.

Chef Victor Tekhuan Guillen Adell, direct from Spain, is bringing together traditional Spanish flavours with a vegan twist to Power Plant. With dishes like Fried Potato Bomba filled with mushrooms and served with a spicy brava sauce and aioli and Jackfruit & King Brown Ceviche with leche de tigre sauce and a Caribbean inspired salad, it is sure to set your taste buds alight.

The new Power Plant menu opens up to cocktails also, with Blueberry Gin Fizz with basil, lemon and soda being a popular choice. Power Plant is also serving these cocktails as mocktails for anyone who is looking for the flavour without the alcohol.

All the items on the menu are gluten-free, albeit not a totally gluten free environment.

Our top pick for dinner is the Lentil Neatballs with a rich tomato sauce, cauliflower cous cous and roasted hazelnuts, which is perfect for sharing with the group you have with you.
