Oh My Greens in Melton is a 100% vegan family run restaurant. The father of the Ong family opened their first cafe in Singapore called Divine Realm Vegetarian, 12 years ago. The demand wasn’t high enough in Singapore though and the entire family moved to Melbourne where they opened a cafe of the same name in Little Collins Street.
After speaking with customers who travelled as far as Ballarat to eat good vegan food, the family decided to open a restaurant in the West of Melbourne. Opening just 7 months ago, Oh My Greens is very popular with the community. They do not promote the fact that everything is vegan (including the plant-based milks for coffee), but it is a hit with everyone.
There is a diverse range of food available on the menu, and if they know that you are celiac they will cook things in a separate air fryer. The chef is not afraid to experiment either, with one of his masterpieces being the “Laksa Pasta”, that’s right, pasta with a creamy laksa sauce topped with ‘prawns’.
There is something for everyone on this menu, grilled skewered soy satay bites with homemade peanut sauce. Fries showered with bacon bits and house-made vegan cheese sauce. Amazing burgers (must try the Chic Temptation burger with satay sauce). Curries, noodles, and a plethora of sides are also available.
If you still have room try some of the desserts and in-house raw treats. With so much amazing food and the best service you could ask for, we really hope that they open up some more locations around Melbourne!
