You may know the B.East from Brunswick East, you may know it from Fitzroy, and if you don’t already know The B.East then now is the right time to check them out. They burst to life in Brunswick East in 2012 with their unique style and offering one of the only live band venues with a killer food menu on offer as well. They are most well known for their burgers, but over the years, they have introduced some unique nights and menu items that are now stamped into their DNA. Pioneering a soul food vegan night that carried on for years and with their most popular burger of all time being the Morrisey, a vegan chicken burger. It’s clear they take their vegan food seriously and head chef, Jarrod Moore, has continued pushing the vegan boundaries in their new CBD venture.
Introducing the only place in Melbourne that you can get “burn your mouth off” hot vegan buffalo wings, with a hot sauce that will singe your nose hairs upon getting a wiff. It’s just one of the many unique plant-based foods that the B.East not only offers but excels at.
The B.East offers an arrary of plat-based items to get you drooling before the food even hits the table. From meaty vegan options to something a little lighter in the form of a sweet potato and lentil pattie the burgers will have you satisfied. But if you are into fries, then you need to get them loaded and indulge in some thick gravy and vegan cheese. But the high point is going to be the buffalo wings. Get in, grab a bunch and sit back with either the hottest sauce on the planet or something a little milder, and use a cold beer to bring a little relief.
On drinks there’s a range of beers and wines, with some pretty special frozen margs up for grabs.
