Nestled in a row of shops in the leafy Glen Eira Road you will find aptly named The Glen Melbourne. The licensed cafe recently launched mid pandemic in Oct 2020. Owner and Chef David Watts has consulted on menus before (V Melb & Bay City Burrito), though primarily comes from a big corporate background (Asia Pac Managing Director for DIAM, an international retail design, and shopfitting business).
The majority of the menu is vegan by default with the focus on ethically sourced, tasty, well-presented food. The Glen’s most popular dishes are the Avocado Love, Spring Fritters, Soba Green & Falafel Heaven. And on warmer days, Acai and Peanut Butter and Feast smoothies.
If you’re looking for a place to meet just about anyone for coffee or a bite to eat, this is it. The Glen Melbourne also offers free WIFI and charging stations throughout if you’re looking for a peaceful place to get some work done out of the house. The stunning dining space and street dining are child, pet, and disability friendly. Delicious coffee is sourced from Melbourne-born Industry Beans. With a liquor license, you could opt for one of their range of vegan cocktails, wines, and beers.
