5 Trending Vegan Hacks For Your Iso

Yes, we are all locked up, but don’t let it get you down. Now is the time to start testing out some of those vegan hacks that have been blowing up social media over the past month.

1. Greens Vanilla Cake Mix with Lemonade

Drop everything you are doing, you can make a cake with lemonade. No, we are not kidding. Social media has been overrun with posts of Green’s Vanilla Cake Mix which instructs you to add in eggs and butter, but you can toss that aside because all you need is a little lemonade to bring the whole thing together.

What you need:

  • 1 x Packet of Greens Vanilla Cake Mix
  • 300mls of Lemonade
  • Mix them together and bake according to the packet.
2. Biscoff Thickshake

Trevor Ffrost is the man behind this incredible creation. A combination of vegan ice-cream, soy milk, and a healthy dosing of Biscoff spread.  Let’s be honest, if you aren’t making this for breakfast during Iso, you are enjoying it too much.

What you need:

  • A large scoop of Biscoff spread
  • 2 heaped tablespoons of vegan vanilla ice-cream.
  • Soy Milk
  • Blender

3. Dalgona Coffee

If you are a coffee enthusiast, you may want to skip ahead, because this will not play well for you. But regardless, the Dalgona Coffee is a simple recipe with just a couple ingredients to make a frothy, golden, coffee hit that you need to pick yourself up and get cracking inside the house.

What you need:

  • 2 Tablespoons instant coffee, regular or decaf
  • 2 Tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons hot water
  • A cup of your favourite Plant Milk

4. Vegan Mac and Cheese Hack

We crafted this one ourselves and boy oh boy it’s a doozy. You combine a packet of pasta with the Heart & Soul Cauliflower & Cashew Soup. Cook pasta, drain. Heat up soup in same pan, add 1 cup of nooch (nutritional yeast), 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and salt. Combine and enjoy!

What you need:

  • 1 x packet of pasta
  • Cauliflower soup mix
  • Nutritional yeast
  • Garlic Powder
  • Salt
5. Sandwich Press Pancakes

It’s definitely a thing, and it almost begs the question, why aren’t we all making pancakes like this all the time. Simply pour your pancake mix into your sandwich press (not to be confused with a jaffle maker) and put the lid down. You are now cooking both sides of the pancake, AT THE SAME TIME!
