Go Pho Yo’self exploded onto the Melbourne food delivery scene amidst the COVID-19 outbreak. With an empty commercial kitchen, they decided to scrap adapting to the changing market but to reinvent themselves as Go Pho Yo’self.
Toni & Dan are the daughters of Vietnamese refugees, growing up at their family’s kitchen counter watching their mothers cook Vietnamese dinners from scratch every night. Like so many Asian mothers, this was a love language to their children. The changing environment in hospitality presented a unique opportunity to return to their roots and build a business that proudly reclaims and celebrates its heritage. A tribute to their Mothers and all they have done.
“We want to share our mother’s recipes with Melbournians via a dedicated Vietnamese pho noodle delivery business”.
Their vegan option is naturally sweetened with pear. An interesting option but it elevates this broth to a whole new level. It certainly isn’t noticeable, or overpowering, but the sweetness brings a full flavour. Not only that but pears are especially rich in folate, vitamin C, copper, and potassium. Making this vegan pho incredibly nutritious in its difference.
All the recipes are MSG free (but this doesn’t compromise on taste!) and they are all DIY pho kits. The two kit options are an easy kit where you heat and assemble, and the other is the DIY kit for the home cooks. Customers get to make their final broth from our ‘master broth’ by toasting their own pho spices and then seasoning it to their liking. Yes, they are launching the vegan option of this DIY Home Cooks soon, so be sure to watch their Instagram account for updates.
The delivery area is up to 20km from the CBD but they have a handy suburb checker on their website prior to ordering.
Disclosure: We received samples from Go Pho Yo’self in order to share our opinion about their products, but this isn’t a sponsored post.
