Vegan Beer Tasting at Beer DeLuxe

vegan beer tasting

Beer Lovers rejoice, Beer DeLuxe team has joined forces with the Head Brewer, Brendan, from 3 Ravens Brewery to bring you the ultimate vegan beer tasting event.

This event is part of Good Beer Week and will be held at Beer DeLuxe in Fed Square. There will be vegan beer tasting and delicious matched canapes by Exec Chef Jake Furst. The Head Brewer of 3 Ravens will also be on hand to talk about the beers built around sustainable practices and veganism as well as in house Cicerone Jarrod Nash.

No, not all beer is vegan. Seems weird right?

Some beer brewers add finings to clarify the beer when racking into a barrel. Finings can include plant-derived products, like Irish moss, or animal-derived products, like isinglass and gelatin. This is not unlike wine where egg, milk and other animal derived products can be used.

While most beer is vegan friendly, there are some well known brands that are not vegan friendly, such as Fosters & Guinness Stout.

If you ever are in doubt you can check with either Barnivore or The Fussy Vegan apps.
