Cheesy Bacon Roast Potatoes (That Just Happen To Be Vegan)

One of the first comments you are bound to get when switching to a plant-based diet is ‘but bacon’. Well, fret no more because there is a product which turns basically anything into bacon. From a taste perspective anyway. Deliciou has been on the market for some time, but they have recently extended their range to include more than just bacon flavourings. It ranges from cheesy bacon to maple bacon, and now taco, chipotle and nacho cheese.

For this recipe though we are combining the cheesy bacon seasoning with some nutritional yeast to really bring out that cheesiness to the roast potatoes.



With just a little shake of some seasoning, you will be taking your roast potatoes to the next level and have everyone asking you how the heck you did it.

Cheesy Bacon Roast Potatoes

  • 1 tbsp Deliciou Cheesy Bacon Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 kg white potatoes
  • 1 tsp olive oil


  1. Preheat your oven to 200 C

  2. Cut up all your potatoes into 2-3cm chunks

  3. Mix the nutritional yeast and cheesy bacon seasoning together

  4. Place the potatoes into a large bowl and drizzle with olive oil. The top with your seasoning.

  5. Toss the potatoes well to coat them in the seasoning.

  6. Place on an oven tray and cook for 35 mins
