Surrounded by trees, fields of green grass, and joggers, Studley Grounds is a hidden oasis, a stop for a coffee and a bite, and a place holding events after dark. It is an all-day eatery and a place for an engagement, a wedding, a birthday party, and every event in between.
The Food
There is a condensed version of a menu because of the c-word of 2020. Almost all the options are vegan which is a nice surprise. A sea salt avocado with protein bread, heirloom tomatoes, artichoke, fried basil, toasted pepitas is a classic with a twist and will leave you full and satisfied. It’s all about the bread in this case which is made in house. It is a mix of various grains, served warm and with lots of olive oil which makes it really tasty and soft. It has a soft texture and has a certain sweetness in it. A must try when visiting this place.
Fried tofu buddha bowl is a healthy and balanced option. Sweet potato, edamame, avocado, wild rice topped up with peanut sambal sauce which makes this dish 10 times more delicious. Good on a cold day. It took some time for coffees to arrive which is understandable given that this venue gets busy for coffees from active people in the park who either walk, run, play golf or are on parental duties with kids having their football training in the park right next to the café.
It is a lovely, peaceful café with a view of a park and the skyline with skyscrapers from the city far far away. It is hard to believe that this tranquil calm place with lots of greenery is located so close to the city.
