Cardigan Place Cellars has just opened in Albert Park. The wine bar has taken over the Mon Amour XO corner venue. Head Chef Kirra Parsons has been given the keys to this new bar and eatery. Another Chef trained by Shaun Quade at Lûmé (so you know the food is going to be amazing).
Cardigan Place Cellars specialises in local Australian and natural minimal intervention wines. This means that a majority of them are vegan-friendly. Just ask your helpful bartender which wines are vegan when you visit.
A simple bar snack menu is on offer. And lucky for us, there is a dedicated vegan menu! Soon to be added is a vegan charcuterie. Takeaway sales will also be available.
On offer currently are smoked macadamias with mountain pepper, mixed Australian olives marinated in orange, fennel and chilli, raw and pickled vegetables, sesame almond puree and geraldton wax, Asparagus with white pepper, chive and chestnut crisp, Cauliflower cooked on the barbecue, hummus and bronze fennel.
Plus shoestring fries with truffle and a must try Antipasto. Which comes with a selection of seasonal dips, marinated olives, smoked macadamias and pickled vegetables, served with artichoke crisps and sourdough.
