A cafe that feels like an oasis, nestled in the heart of Melbourne Street, North Adelaide. Coco Flamingo sweeps your cares and worries from your shoulders as you walk through the door. The boho style of this venue is evident from the street though, with a palm leaf umbrella out front covering their white tables and chairs. As you move inside, the wicker swings set against the vibrate artwork by local artist Nicky Create, let you know this is a relaxed environment where they aim to nourish your soul and your body.
Coco Flamingo is the brainchild of Luke Parrella, who after travelling the East Coast of Australia, wanting to bring it back to the city he loves. But it wasn’t just the style and calm that Luke brought back. The menu is designed to be nourishing to each patron also. Aiming to provide fresh and local produce through the food and coffee. Each dish is carefully thought out to provide the flavour you want, and the nutrients you need.
Fresh and exciting, with a menu of smoothies that will have you struggling to choose which one you want. The waffle bowl is the Insta famous menu item, with a bowl made from a waffle, that you can eat. Filled with coconut yoghurt and topped with fresh tropical fruits.
The majority of the menu is vegan, with all dishes able to be made vegan upon request. There are nourishing bowls of spiced pumpkin, mixed pilaf and a fresh slaw, which hits just the right spot.
