Moby 3143 on High Street in Armadale is magnificent. As you stroll down High Street this café is unmissable. The first part that will catch your eye is the umbrellas on the roof. Instantly making you want to eat breakfast on the roof. Greeted at the door, and given a table quick smart we sat down to survey the menu.
Now before we get into the menu, we can say that the duo behind Moby is Christina Higgins and Steve Svenson. Steve is the former head chef of Pillar of Salt in Prahran, another favourite of ours, and Christina (nutritionist) who worked in London with Yotam Ottolenghi. Enough said right! What a great team.
Ok, the menu, there are so many options and the staff are fantastic. We tried the Breakfast salad and the SuperFood Salad. Both were outstanding! The superfood salad is actually one of the best breakfasts we have ever had. Ever.
It was simple in nature too, just some buckwheat, kale, avocado, basil, chilli and dukkah but it just works. So much so, that we sat there for 10 minutes writing down the ingredients we could taste so we could recreate it at home. It’s definitely the place to go right now, so get down there and have an amazing experience.
