Isn’t satay sauce just the greatest? This satay sauce recipe is relatively simple, without the need for extra features, but its super delicious and gluten free.

In this bowl we combine some of our favourite things. Soy nuggets and satay sauce, with a bunch of whole plant foods for all the nutrition you need.

We use Fry’s Family Foods Nuggets because they are gluten free and just plain delicious. But you can use whatever vegan nuggets you want for this recipe. The big star is the satay sauce over the top.

Super Satay Nugget Bowl

  • Satay Sauce
  • 4 tbsp Peanut butter
  • 1 tsp Sriracha
  • Juice of 1/2 Lime
  • 4-6 tsp water depending how thick you like it
  • 2 tbsp Tamari
  • 1/2 a large sweet potato
  • 4 small potatoes
  • 2 handfuls of spinach
  • Frys Family Nuggets 6 each
  • 1/2 head of broccoli
  • 1/2 cup of corn
  • 1 avocado
  • Black Sesame seeds


  1. Slice up your sweet potato in 5mm thick slices.
  2. Slice your potatoes in half and place on a tray with the sweet potato, nuggets into the oven at 180C for 25 mins. Make sure you flip everything half way.
  3. Steam your broccoli until desired tenderness.
  4. Place corn into a small saucepan with some salt and pepper and fry off quickly.
  5. Mix your sauce by placing all the ingredients into a mixer and blitzing until the water, tamari and peanut butter is well combined.
  6. Once all is completed above, slice your avocado in half and sprinkle with black sesame seeds.
  7. Start with the bed of spinach, then layer your ingredients around in a circle and drizzle with your satay sauce.

This is also Gluten Free as the nuggets from Frys are free from gluten.
